Undergraduate Feasibility Study
This study primarily aimed to determine the working capital management of micro enterprises in Binangonan, Rizal with respect to cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management. The researchers utilized descriptive method with the use of questionnaire checklist in gathering data from 318 respondents. The data were tabulated, tallied, and computed using the frequency, percentage and rank distribution, weighted mean, and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Based on the data collected in terms of personal profile of respondents, many of them were in their early adulthood, female, high school graduates, new in business and married. Less than half of businesses were sole proprietorships with low capital, primarily came from loans, with small numbers of employees, minimal monthly income, and operating for eight hours. The study revealed that micro enterprises in Binangonan, Rizal, facilitate their working capital through accounts receivables, cash management. inventory management, and accounts payable, indicating a strong commitment to effective working capital management. Generally, the study found no significant differences in working capital management with respect to personal and business profile. However, significant difference was noted in terms of sex, civil status, and monthly income. The researchers recommended that the owners of micro enterprises in Binangonan, Rizal, continue their best practices in order to guarantee higher profits and more effective management of cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory. In order to have a sustainable profit to cover the working and operational costs of the firm, they may also invest their extra fund in high-yielding investments.
