Effectiveness of e-lessons in selected topics in physics for grade 8 - 2015 - x, 63 leaves : colour illustrations ; 28 cm

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to test the effectiveness of an e-lesson in physics for grade 8. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System Morong, Campus during the school year 2014-2015. The study made use of the experimental-parallel group research design because it aimed to test the effectiveness of the e-lesson through the use of pre-test and post-test. There was a pre-test administered to both the control and experimental group. Then, the experimental group was exposed to the e-lesson in a discussion of the selected topics while the control group was not exposed. This study utilized information from different sources related to this study. The respondents of the study were the grade 8 students of Rizal National Science High School, they were randomly selected, 20 students for experimental group and another 20 students for the control group. The data gathered were statistically treated according to the appropriate statistical tools: standard deviation, dependent t-test and independent t-test. Based on the results, the subtopic temperature was not needed to be supplemented by the e-lesson. On the other hand, the results also implied that there is a need of e-lesson in discussing the sub-topic on heat transfer. The researchers recommend to look for other topics or other areas of science that have concepts that need to be simulated through multimedia.
