| Summary, etc | EXEUTIVE SUMMARY: This study to develop a Solar Powered Street Sweeper Machine in which its electricity is absorbed from the sun as a substitute for diesel and it was controlled by a remote controller through the use of transceiver module. The study was conducted by Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Students at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the academic year 2015-2016. The researchers used 5 street sweepers and 5 experts outside the school as the respondents. Which were selected purposively in accordance with their expertise in the project. A questionnaire checklist was used to gather the needed data to find out if it is acceptable to the users. The study used the descriptive developmental method in utilizing the researcher-made questionnaire checklist. The researchers made use of the Weighted mean Formula to properly understand and compute the level of acceptability for accuracy, applicability, workability, user friendliness, and safety and maintenance of Solar Powered Street Sweeper Machine. On the evaluation that the researchers made through questionnaire checklist the level of acceptability of the project is Excellent considering the project accuracy, applicability, workability, user friendliness and safety and maintenance. The Solar Powered Street Sweeper Machine was rated Excellent as perceived by the respondents obtaining the following rankings safety and maintenance with the average men of 4.77, followed workability with a 4.75 average mean, third is user friendliness with a 4.65 average mean, fourth is the applicability with a 4.5 average mean and lastly is the accuracy with a 4.45 average weighted mean. Generally the weighted mean of the above criterion was computed to be a 4.62 which also have a verbal interpretation as excellent. The study revealed that the Solar Powered Street Sweeper Machine was constructed using materials available locally. The Solar Powered Street Sweeper Machine system programs had made the device operate according to its functions. It is also excellent in terms of accuracy, applicability, workability, user friendliness and safety and maintenance. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended to improve its storage capacity to store more garbage, to use more powerful motor for the wheels to move accurately to its desired movement and use better transceiver module like signee for the data to transmit consistently or use WIFI module for the control. Further research for the modification of the output may be conducted for its improvement. |
