520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled package type air conditioner trainer board aimed to design and construct a trainer board which can be used as teaching device. Specifically, it determined the acceptability of the project in terms of functionality, safety and maintenance, utilization, durability and design. Likewise, it also determined the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end users with respects to the mentioned variables. The package type air conditioner trainer board was designed and constructed out of locally of available materials which consisted of a package type air-conditioning unit, angle bars, wires, ply board, contractor and relay. The study encountered technical problems during the development of the project and in order to solve the technical problems the researchers incorporated their knowledge in air conditioning such as troubleshooting, brazing and replacement of faulty parts. It utilized developmental and descriptive methods of research to determine the acceptability of package type air conditioner trainer board. It also used an adapted modified questionnaire checklist were validated by the experts in electromechanical and electrical technology in industrial technology. There were two of respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. Who have enough knowledge, skills and understanding on the operation of the project. The total number of respondents was twenty (20), end users and experts from the college of industrial technology. Based on the evaluation of the project on the level of acceptability in terms of functionality, safety and maintenance, utilization, durability and design as perceived by respondents it was found out as very much accepted through statistical treatments. The significant difference on the evaluations made by the two groups of respondents on the level of acceptability of package type air conditioner trainer bored found out that, there is no significant difference as proven statistically, therefore, the hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted a not significant in terms of functionality, safety and maintenance, utilization, durability and design. The researcher's developed user's manual is intended for the operation of the project which provided instruction on how to operate, description of components and safety instructions. The user's manual ensures the user's safety and prolongs the life of the trainer board. Lastly, based on the result of the study it arrived at the following recommendations: the package type air conditioner trainer board should be as training device and be used by electromechanical students, refrigeration and air conditioning and other related field of specialization. Further study on the package type air conditioner trainer board should be enhance by means of adding of refrigerant to approximately 18 amperes for high cooling of the unit. There should be additional terminal logs for wire to prevent loose contacts. Wiring diagram at the trainer board should be attached for wiring identification and familiarization. The bracket should be fully painted to prevent rust. Additional braces on the cart wheel should be added to strengthen to support the trainer board. The study was conducted to test the effectiveness of package type air conditioner trainer board for teaching- learning process. The trainer board should have additional controls for commercial air conditioning. And there also develop modules intended for the package type air conditioner trainer board.
