Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of utilizing audio-lingual method in teaching English for preschoolers in terms of oral communication skills and comprehension skills. The respondents of the study were the twenty four (24) preschoolers at the University of Rizal System Laboratory Schools. This study used the descriptive method of research utilizing the researcher's made-test and rubrics in order to gather the needed data. The study revealed that on the level of performance of preschoolers in English utilizing audio-lingual method, the mean results obtained with respect to oral communication skills and comprehension skills are 4.66 and 4.58 both are verbally interpreted as "advance". "Furthermore, there is significant difference on the level of performance of preschoolers in English with respect to oral communication and comprehension skills having obtained t-values of 1.263 and 1.842 respectively and significant values of 0.0426 and 0.0382 at 0.05 level of significance. Based from the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn: Audio-lingual method helped to enhance the performance of preschoolers in English and oral communication skills and comprehension skills are casual variables in determining the performance of preschoolers utilizing audio-lingual method. The researchers recommended to utilize audio-lingual method to enhance oral communication skills and comprehension skills of preschoolers, to conduct parallel studies considering other variables.
