Summary, etc. The study was focused on the extent of the literary ingredients employed in the selected short stories assessed by the AB and BSE English majors in URS-Tanay, School Year 2018-2019. The 39 respondents were comprised of 17 AB and 22 BSE English students. They were described in terms of age, sex and course. The findings revealed that 61.5 percent of the respondents are 19 years old and majority are female with 79.5 percent, Bachelor of Secondary Education are more than A.B. English with 56.4 percent. The extent on the assessment of literary ingredients employed in the three selected short stories on subject, form and point of view are Very Much Employed. The respondents stand in one perception that literary ingredients employed in the three selected short stories are very much employed, with form, as most assessed, and followed by subject and point of view. The respondents are one in their stand that the selected short stories obtained the criteria of a literary genre, since all the ingredients are reflected in there. Age and sex did not vary based on the assessment of the students but their course is a determinant to the differing assessment of point of view.
