Summary, etc. Philippine cuisine had its simple and humble beginnings in the distant past. Long, long before the Spaniards reached our shores in search of spices and new lands to conquer, our people had already established contact with foreigners. The Malaysians, Indonesians, Arabians, Indians and Chinese used to come to our shores to barter their goods and products with our own produce. This was the precursor to our present foreign trade. (Philippine Fiesta Recipe, Leonardo R. Belmonte) A. Name of the Project The business will be known as "Sumanella" which comes from combining SUMAN and PAELLA Sumanis made up of sticky rice or made up of cassava and appearance of it is just plain wrapped with the leaves of banana. It is a traditional FILIPINO KAKANIN, because of its good taste that everyone can't resist to eat while paella is a Spanish dish of rice, meat, seafood's, vegetables and spices. It is originated in its modern form in the mid-century near Lake Albufera, a lagoon in Valencia on the east cost of Spain. Spaniards view it as one of their country's national dishes. B.
