Summary, etc This study aimed to determine the performance in problem solving strategy of grade 8 students. This was conducted during the school year 2014- 2015 at Kasiglahan Village National High School. <br/><br/>The profile of the respondents in terms of sex and previous grade in mathematics, also, the performance of the respondents in problem solving strategy was answered.<br/><br/>The null hypothesis drawn in the study: there is no significant difference between the profiles of the respondents in problem solving strategy was tested.<br/><br/>The study employed Descriptive Method specifically with Evaluative Design for the interpretation of data based on the performance of the students in problem solving strategy.<br/><br/>The respondents consisted of sixty (60) randomly selected grade 8 students at Kasiglahan Village National High School.<br/><br/>The instrument used in the study was thirty (30) item validated researcher- made test and evaluation of performance.<br/><br/>Researcher-made test were scrutinized and validated by the experts. Then the conduct of study followed which gathered underwent tabulation to determine the frequency and percentage distribution.<br/><br/>The test was conducted to determine the performance of grade 8 students in problem solving strategy in a specific learning area. Then it was followed by getting score gathering of the test which data were subjected to appropriate statistical treatment, analysis, and interpretation.
