Summary, etc. The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of citizen journalism in Facebook towards the credibility of online news stories. The research study utilized qualitative method research. Descriptive design is used to describe phenomenon and experience by the respondents. The study was focused on selected participants, first-year AB Journalism students of University of Rizal System Angono. Data obtained by conducting survey and in-depth interviews through Google Meet platform and analyze participants’ engagement in news content and its direct impact to them by Citizen Journalist. Purposive random sampling techniques were used in selecting the respondents to the study. There were 10 chosen participants, male and female, who were interviewed. From the answers provided by the selected participants, the researchers were able to interpret their answers from the interview questions. The researchers used coding and thematic analysis and came up with five themes for the study. That includes: Feeding wrong information, Misleading information, Decrease of news credibility, Lack of sources, and Online news stories is at risk. The study revealed the challenges of news content and information produced by citizen journalists that pose a lack of expertise which came from unverified sources that affect participants’ news consumption.
