Summary, etc This study aimed to determine the best practices of the performing public elementary schools in District II of Quezon City.<br/><br/>Out of thirteen schools in District II only four were included in the study and they were Bagong Silangan Elementary School Melencio M Castelo Elementary School, President Corazon Aquino Elementary School and Payatas B Annex Elementary School. This study was conducted during the School Year 2019-2020<br/><br/>Descriptive evaluative research method was used utilizing qualitative design to reveal the best practices of the performing public elementary schools<br/><br/>From the gathered data, the following findings were drawn<br/><br/>Indeed all schools in terms of accessed records revealed that they all had maintained, significant increase in enrollment, zero drop-out rate and cohort and survival rate had ranged to almost 100 percent. In terms of quality; investigation revealed zero non-readers, a decreasing percentage in frustration but increasing in instructional and independent levels. In terms of governance, all of the participating schools were rated outstanding.<br/><br/>The best practices of performing public elementary school in District II of Quezon City, with regard to Access showed that all the respondent schools have implemented programs and projects to maintain and/or increase their enrollment rate, cohort-survival rate, promotion rate and lessen their drop-out rate. Their best practices were implementing different programs and projects to convince every parent to enroll their children their respective schools. School B strengthened its academic performance and widened its information dissemination campaign during enrollment period. For School C, it introduced and disseminated information about anrollment schedules, school programs and projects such as CARESS, Friendly School, Feeding Program, Health and Sanitation Awareness, School Child Protection Committee. And for School D, it reminded and announced the schedule of enrollment as early as during the release of report cards at the end of the school year, during their summer camp. during their Brigada Eskwela and also sought the help and cooperation of the barangay. To lessen their drop-out rate every school also implemented programs and projects in saving pupils at risk from dropping out. To maintain/increase the cohort-survival rate, every school showed up their continuous support and motivation to both pupils and parents so they would continuously generate their desire of learning in such school.<br/><br/>On Quality, literacy mirrors the quality of teaching the school provides. To achieve the highest ratings in literacy level, the school respondents designed various reading interventions and practices with an end view of increasing the level of the students in reading.<br/><br/>On Governance, all school respondents were rated as outstanding performance in their OPCRF- Office Performance Commitment Review Form. It conveyed a transparent, effective and accountable governance in the school level and the result of excellent work to attain the school's mandate of providing quality education by leading and managing their respective schools very well.
