520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc The study aimed to develop and determine the effectiveness and acceptability of Worktext in teaching grade 7 Science. It was conducted at Guinayang National High School in San Mateo, Rizal for the School Year 2020-2021

The study made use of both experimental and descriptive designs utilizing pre-test-posttest, questionnaire checklist, Focus Group Discussion, and one-on-one Interviews. The respondents were the two heterogeneous sections in Grade 7, randomly selected to represent the experimental and control groups wherein both groups were under blended learning modality due to some changes in the education system. Also, science teacher respondents were from San Mateo and Rodriguez who evaluated the developed materials.

The experimental group utilized the developed worktext with enhancement activities such as improvisation, use of games and integration of ICT. On the other hand, the control group used the prescribed learning materials of DepEd. Both groups underwent pretest and posttest.

Based on the results gathered, both the experimental and the control groups obtained higher mean scores in the posttest than the pretest. However, the experimental group showed a higher mean difference than the control group. The increase in the mean scores of both experimental and control groups during the pretest and posttest were found significant proving that students improved their performance level More so, the standard deviation results have shown a close range of scores of the students which proved the oneness of their comprehension in the study. Even if both groups were heterogeneous classes, they demonstrated unity in learning, and no one was left behind.
