520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc This research was conducted to determine the public awareness on federalism in Rodriguez, Rizal and to analyze the feedback of the participants on strategies about information dissemination for federalism. This study was anchored in the social contract theory of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, where people agree to follow the rules of a group or society, showing how those in charge and those being governed decide on what rights and responsibilities everyone has. The researchers utilized two methods, quantitative and qualitative. The respondents were selected through the use of simple random sampling. This study used a survey-checklist during the data collection phase of the study. The researchers gave survey forms to 110 residents in the 11 barangays of Rodriguez. In a qualitative approach, the participants were selected through the use of purposive sampling, which is a non-probability sampling method. They were selected purposely due to their background, knowledge, and concern in information dissemination on federalism. This study used open ended questions through interview.

Based on the analyzed data, the following findings were summarized. In

statistical data, majority of the respondents were female; mostly belonging to the age of eighteen to twenty-seven years old; most of them were single; most of the respondents belonged low income and most of the respondents were college undergraduate. The respondents were more aware on social aspect of federalism than political and economic aspect. In thematic data, the participants identified the challenges and strategies on information dissemination, benefits and drawbacks in shifting to federalism, and the comparison of unitary government and federal government.
