| Summary, etc | This study identified the utilization of public secondary schools in the Implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Program in Tagumpay National High School and Kasiglahan Village National High Scho during the school year 2022-2023. It involved 80 students and 40 teachers who served as the respondents of the study.<br/><br/>The study used mixed-method explanatory research to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. Also, the research instrument used by the researchers is a checklist questionnaire (researcher-made questionnaire) and an Interview as a research Instrument in gathering data. And to interpret and<br/>You sent<br/>a result, it is predicted that both schools would have adequats infrastructure and well-renovated facilities; According to the date, the respondents strongly agreed with the statements made by the researchers. That is, each school conducts frequent disaster drills, responds to any unforeseen event that may arise, and has a plan in place if a crisis occurs, and, based on the emerging difficulties indicated by respondents, there are still some clear issues that require attention and solutions. Lack of equipment and materials, lack of preparedness measures and disaster exercises, and lack of preparation knowledge and awareness are the difficulties that may affect the school and respondents. Additionally, respondents, especially instructors, expressed a desire for seminars and training.<br/><br/>And lastly, in line with the aforementioned conclusions, the researchers formulated the recommendation for teachers, students, and school administrators or the School DRRM, Wherein, the students should be more aware and encourage to take part on the utilization and implementation of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management policies and practices. While, the Teachers should have the characteristics to lead the students in the disaster drills and well educated when it comes to Disaster Risk Reduction Management guidelines and policies, And lastly, the school administrators or the School DRRM should provide sufficient equipment and supplies in case of the unexpected disaster. Continue strengthen the utilization and implementation of DRRM policies and guideline that has been/will be provided by DepEd. |
