| Summary, etc | This study aimed to determine the programs of selected high schools in District II Rodriguez Rizal on how they prevent and control the vices of their students. It was respondents of 15 public school teachers and utility personnel.<br/><br/>The researchers made used the qualitative method of research. These studies involved were they've utilized an interview guide and observation which serves a basis of documenting the results of the study. The interpretation of gathered data was analyzed.<br/><br/>From the analysis of the data, the following findings were found<br/><br/>Most of the respondents were female, their ages ranges from 25 to 42 years old and most of them been in the institution for 21 years. <br/>Most of the programs implemented by the schools were anti-smoking and anti-drinking policy within the school vicinity, they've shown it through signage as campaign and anti-gaming campaign (computer gaming) of the students outside the school wherein it is disseminated through orientation program before the school year starts while some programs on vices were incorporated in some subjects such as MAPEH they distributed leaflets containing information about the negative effects of some vices inside their body.<br/><br/>In light with the implementation of vices prevention and control programs most of the respondents said that it is strictly followed within the school areas, if they were caught smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages inside the school they immediately brought the concern to the Guidance Office however, few of respondents said they didn't know if the programs are strictly followed or not.<br/><br/>The problems that is being encountered by the school personnel with their vices prevention and control programs; some computer shop did not cooperate with their campaign, some students cut their classes just to do gaming they tend not to cooperate in the implementation that's why some were caught and was given sanction.<br/><br/>Based from the gathered analysis in the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn:<br/><br/>Teachers are matured enough to manage better the implementation of the programs in vices prevention, School administrators really find time to protect their clientele, Implementation of programs on vices prevention is not an easy Task and Due to peer pressure, vice among the high school students persist despite the strict implementation of the program.<br/><br/>On the basis of the conclusions formulated in the study the following are hereby recommended to the School Administrators, keep their spint in protecting the benefits of their clientele, however they are encourage to see to it that there will be strict monitoring and compliance among his or her followers, Teachers, they are encourage to support the programs of their institution so as success will be attained, Parents, they are also encourage to keep abreast of their son or daughter activities whether in they are in schools or not. They should help and support the school programs and campaigns to address common Issues and problems of their son and daughter, students, They must follow the rules and regulation of the school where they are, they must not engage themselves in wrong doing that will lead their teachers and parents to disappointments and themselves as well, and to the future researchers, they are advice to consider other factors of students vices to deepen the result of the current study. Making a parallel study like this in depth analysis is encouraged.<br/> |
