520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc "This study primarily aimed to determine the Cash Management Practices
of Coffee Shops in Binangonan, Rizal in terms of cash receipt and cash
disbursement.
This study examined the cash management practices of coffee shops in
Binangonan, Rizal, with a particular focus on handling cash receipts and
disbursements. Using a descriptive research design, data were collected from 52
coffee shop owners and managers through a survey questionnaire. The study explores their daily financial management practices, common issues, and
strategies, highlighting the importance of budgeting, monitoring, and the use of
technological tools such as point-of-sale systems to enhance financial operations.
This study used statistical approaches, such as weighted means and One
Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), to examine respondents' perceptions
depending on their personal and professional backgrounds. This research aims to
improve awareness of small business finance and provide practical ideas for better
cash management practices. It is a useful resource for coffee shop owners,
financial management students, and future researchers, encouraging local
entrepreneurs to adopt effective financial strategies for sustainable growth and
success.
The results showed that cash receipt practices such as recording sales,
securing cash, and forecasting income were ""always"" with an average mean of
4.49. On the other hand, cash disbursement practices like budgeting for expenses
and preparing daily reports were ""frequently"" with an average mean of 3.90, but
some areas like check payments and payment planning needed improvement.
A statistical test (One-Way ANOVA) identified that there were no significant
differences in overall cash management practices based on the respondents'
business and personal profiles, except in the area of cash disbursement, where a
significant difference was observed based on location.
The study analyzed data from coffee shops in Binangonan, Rizal, focusing
on cash management perceptions. The majority of businesses were sole proprietorships with a moderate number of employees and a good monthly income.
The highest agreement was found for cash receipts, ""Records cash sales,"" and for
disbursements, ""Provides cash budgets for all planned outlays of cash.""
The study found no significant differences in cash receipt. However, a
significant difference in cash disbursement practices was observed based on the
business location. The study concluded that coffee shop owners consistently
prioritize ""Records cash sales"" and *Provides cash budgets for all planned outlays
of cash,"" indicating a strong understanding and implementation of these practices.
The study also found that local environmental or economic factors play a crucial
role in shaping these outgoing financial activities. The study recommends sharing
these practices with other business owners, emphasizing the importance of timely
bank deposits for security and better financial tracking.
Future research should explore specific factors related to business location,
such as rental costs, local supplier terms, access to local financial services, or the
impact of local economic conditions within Binangonan. Owners are advised to
maintain their current cash management routines, but continuous monitoring and
evaluation of these practices are essential for sustained financial health.
Overall, the study emphasizes the importance for coffee shop owners to
maintain sound cash handling practices, particularly in planning and managing
expenses more effectively. The findings will be useful for small business owners
aiming to enhance their financial management and will serve as a valuable
reference for future studies on this topic.
"
