Summary, etc This study aimed to assess the Effects of Social Networking Sites on the Performance of an Office Secretary. It was conducted in the Commission on Audit at Quezon City with the total of (60) respondents.<br/><br/>The researchers used descriptive survey method of research utilizing questionnaire checklist as the main instrument which was divided into two parts; the profile of the respondent, and the Effects of Social Networking Sites on the Performance of Office Secretary regarding to their productivity and efficiency. The data gathered were tallied, computed, interpreted using statistical treatment wherein frequency and percentage distribution were used to determine the profile of the secretary in terms of age, sex, educational attainment, length of service, monthly income and type of social networking sites are daily used. Mean was utilized to know the relevance of the Effects of Social Networking Sites on the Performance of Office Secretary in terms of Productivity and efficiency. ANOVA was applied to determine the significant difference as the Effects of Social Networking Sites on the Performance of Office Secretary.<br/><br/>Based on the gathered data with regards to the profile of the respondents in terms of Age, it shows that the most of the respondents belong to age bracket 36-40 with a frequency 16 or 26.67. It shows that female is greater than male secretary in Commission on Audit that is why there has more frequency of 43 or 71.67 percent and the male secretary has frequency of 17 or 28.33 respectively.<br/><br/>It shows that the highest educational attainment using social networking sites is the college graduate with a frequency of 55 or 91.67%. Majority of the respondents have been in the service from 9-15 years with the frequency of 21 or 35 percent. It shows that most of the respondent's monthly income range the same brackets of 10-15 thousand and 21-25 thousand with the frequency of 14 or 25.45%. Finally in terms of the great percentage of the respondents had used in social networking sites first the Facebook with a frequency of 49 ΠΎΠ³ 42.61%.<br/><br/>It shows that the factors under productivity are all verbally interpreted agree which reveals how the performance of the secretaries are more productive by using social networking sites and the ranking of productivity result was coming out with tangible outputs with the mean of 4.05 while the result of efficiency in the performance of the secretaries was focusing on one's work with the mean of 4.15. The profile of the respondents in terms of their productivity and efficiency stated all their p-value was greater than 05 level of significance. Therefore, the null hypothesis was failure to reject. Thus, there is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents in terms of their productivity and efficiency.<br/><br/>Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were arrived at: Generally, position for office secretaries is reserved for females who have college degrees. Their salaries are competitive enough to let them stay long in their work. With regard to social networking site, they prefer facebook Social Networking Sites have positive effects on the performance of Office Secretaries in terms of productivity and efficiency and there was no Significant Difference between the Profile of Respondents and the Productivity and Efficiency of Office Secretaries as perceived by the respondents when they were grouped according to profile.<br/><br/>From the consolidated findings and conclusions the following recommendations are hereby offered: Government Offices should consider to use Social Networking Sites as business strategy to motivate individuals to achieve the business goals and more productive in doing their works. Secretaries should be able to avail of the social networking sites in order to work properly and efficiently. Future Researchers should conduct similar study using other possible variables.
