| Summary, etc | This study aimed to determine the Implementation of Office Discipline at Smartserve Manpower Resources Company, with 10 respondents coming from their company. The employees are selected by the researchers who serve as respondents of the study.<br/><br/>The researchers used the descriptive method in this study utilizing questionnaire checklist and interviews as a major instrumental in gathering the pertinent data. This was divided into three parts. Profile of the Respondents, Extent of the implementation of discipline and the Problems met by the Employees in the Implementation of Office Discipline.<br/><br/>The data gathered were tallied, computed, interpreted using the appropriate statistical treatment where percentage rank was used to determine the profile of the employees in terms of age, sex, position, and length of service. Mean was utilized to know the extent of implementation of Office Discipline.<br/><br/>The following findings were drawn from the data gathered: With regards to the profile of the respondents in terms of age most of the respondents belonged to age bracket 41 to 60 years old with a frequency of 2 or 20 percent, while the least number of respondents belonged to age bracket 26-40 years old with a frequency of 4 or 40 percent. In terms sex, female outnumbered males wherein the former has a frequency of 6 or 60 percent while the latter has 4 or 40 percent. In terms of position, the data shows that staff was the highest number with a frequency of 4 or 40 percent, while the Billing Officer, Accounting Assistant, and Payroll Master have each frequency of 1 or 10 percent. In terms of Length of Service, majority of the respondents belonged to bracket 1-5 years in the service with a frequency of 9 or 90 percent, while least number have a frequency of 1 or 10 percent. In terms of work discipline, the implementation of office discipline at the Smartserve is very well followed by the employees and it indicates that most of them are obeying the rules and regulation. In terms of process of disciplinary action, the enough time to explain on the offence committed by the employee and the resolution is sent to employee with field cases is very much implemented and the process of disciplinary measures is much implemented. On the problems met by the employees, the respondents said that the way of office discipline is implemented but some of them answered that the other rules are not implemented well because of some reason that be considered by the management even the policy was strictly implemented.<br/><br/>From the data gathered based on the summary of findings, the research conclude: The employee' are of late adulthood for their expertise in their own field, commonly female's are hired due to the nature of position they are handling. Employees in the Smartserve are well guided on the existing office discipline in the company. Problems are implacable in any reform instituted by the company and common reactions to changes being implemented.<br/><br/>Guided by the results of the study and the said conclusions, the researchers offer the following recommendations: To University of Rizal System, they should conduct seminars/trainings for the students that focus on improving their discipline on the workplace. To BSOA Students, they need to learn about the rules and regulations. They should be observant on the discipline that flows to an organization during their internship. To BSOA Graduates, they should enhance behaviour organization and other relevant traits that can contribute to their individual growth. To College of Business Faculty Members, they should maintain the quality of teaching that focus on the behaviour in an organization and on how to improve the discipline of the students. To Future Researchers, they could use the results of the present study using other possible variables in order to make the subject study under-study more interesting. |
