Summary, etc The study aimed to determine the Acceptability of UbD by the Faculty members of selected private and public schools in Montalban. Variables considered in determining the acceptability of the UbD were Objectives, Resource materials, Activities, Evaluation, and Timeframe, Along with the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, field of specialization and school where employed.<br/><br/>The researchers utilized the descriptive method of research, which according to Babbie, Earl (1989) is also known as statistical research since it describes data and characteristics about the population or phenomena being studied. The specific design of this study is normativesurvey. The researchersprepared the questionnaires to be distributed to gather the needed information.<br/><br/>The settings of the study were, Roosevelt College Rodriguez and Center for Positive Future, while public high schools were, Manggahan National High School and Burgos National High School. The overall number of respondents was 85, wherein 44 of them were from the two public schools and the other 41 faculty members were from two private schools mentioned.<br/><br/>The results were computed and treated using frequency and percentage distribution to show the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, field of specialization and school where employed; weighted mean was utilized to determine the acceptability of UbD in terms of its content namely: Objective, Resource Materials, Activities, Evaluation, and Timeframe; and one-way ANOVAwas employed to determine if there was a significant difference is the acceptability of UbD by the faculty members when grouped according to their profile.<br/><br/>Based on the analysis of data after statistical treatment was appliedin terms of sex, most of the respondents are female numbering 65 out of 85 respondents. In terms of field of specialization, most of the respondents were teaching Filipino, Science, and Araling Panlipunan. In terms of school were they were employed, they were more from the public schools with frequency of 44 over 85 respondents.<br/><br/>With regards to the acceptability of UbD in terms of its content, the following findings were formulated: As to the objectives of UbD, the weighted mean out of 85 respondents was 4.0 and verbally interpreted as often, equivalent to acceptable; As to the Resource material of UbD, the weighted mean was 3.42 and verbally interpreted as often, equivalent to acceptable; As to the Activities of UbD, the weighted mean was 3.61 and verbally interpreted as often, equivalent to acceptable, As to the Evaluations of UbD, the weighted mean was 3.84 and verbally interpreted as often, equivalent to acceptable, lastly, as to the timeframe of UbD, the weighted mean was 3.69 and verbally interpreted as often, equivalent to acceptable.<br/><br/>With regard to the significant difference on the perception of the respondents when grouped according to their profile, there is no significant difference on the acceptability of UbD by the faculty members in selected public and private high schools in Montalban when they are grouped according to their sex, there is no significant difference on the acceptability of UbD by the faculty members in selected public and private high schools in Montalban when they are grouped according to their Field of specialization, there is a significant difference on the acceptability of UbD by the faculty members in selected public and private high schools in Montalban when they are grouped according to the school where they were employed.<br/><br/>After analysis of the findings, the following conclusions were formulated. Most of the teachers in the chosen high schools in Montalban are female; most of the respondents are Filipino, Science, and Araling Panlipunan Teacher. As to the acceptability of UbD in terms of its content, all respondents agreed that the objectives, resource materials, activities, evaluation, and timeframe of UbD are acceptable; There is no significant difference on the perception of the respondents when grouped according to their sex and field of specialization, nevertheless when they were grouped according to the school where employed, study shows that there is a significant difference in their perception.
