This study focused on the development and determining the level of acceptability of selected educational videos for Grade 1 learners. It was conducted at Karangalan Elementary School during the 2023-2024 school year.<br/>There were a total of nine (9) teachers served as respondents, selected through purposive and convenience sampling techniques. The researchers selected Grade 1 teachers as respondents, as they possessed the expertise and firsthand experience necessary to understand the educational needs and learning styles of Grade 1 learners, making them well-qualified to evaluate the relevance of the educational videos.<br/>The study employed descriptive and developmental research designs. To evaluate the development and acceptability of educational videos, as assessed by experts, frequency, percentage, ranking, mean, and ANOVA were used.<br/>The development of the educational videos began with the selection of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao as the subject, guided by the curriculum to ensure alignment with learning objectives for Grade 1 learners. Seven topics were identified: Pagiging Masunurin At Magalang (Being Obedient and Respectful) Paggalang Sa Paniniwala Ng Ibang Tao (Respecting the Beliefs of Others) Pagsunod sa mga Gawaing Panrelihiyon (Observing Religious Practices) Patulong sa Pagpapanatili ng Kaayusan at Kalinisan ng Paaralan at Tahanan (Helping Maintain Order and Cleanliness in School and at Home) Pagpapamalas ng pagkamalikhain at pagmamalasakit sa kapaligiran. (Demonstrating Creativity and Care for the Environment) Pagpapahalaga sa Karapatang Tinatamasa (Valuing Enjoyed Rights) Pagsunod sa utos ng magulang at nakatatanda (Following the Instructions of Parents and Elders)The videos were created using Canva for visuals, CapCut for editing, and Pinterest for inspiration, resulting in materials that were both engaging and educational.<br/>This develop educational videos were evaluated using an adapted and modified questionnaire checklist and a five-point Likert scale to determine the level of acceptability of selected educational videos for Grade 1 learners in terms of length, visual and auditory elements, content, and format and organization.<br/> On the profile of the respondents in terms of years of teaching experience in Grade 1, the majority have 1 to 5 years of experience, indicating their early years in the teaching profession. In terms of the number of seminars attended, most respondents have participated in 1 to 3 seminars, reflecting moderate exposure to training opportunities. Regarding the highest educational attainment, the majority of respondents have attained a bachelor’s degree, highlighting their foundational qualifications in education.<br/> On the level of acceptability of the developed educational videos, the results showed high levels of acceptability, with the following overall means: Length (4.44), Visual and Auditory Elements (4.41), Content (4.56), and Format and Organization (4.63). These findings indicate that the videos are well-received and effective in terms of structure, design, and educational content. <br/> Based on the results and summary of findings, it was concluded that the developed selected educational videos are highly acceptable to the respondents. These videos can be effectively utilized as instructional materials in teaching Grade 1 learners. <br/> It is recommended that simple language be used in the videos to ensure clarity. Opportunities for encouragement should be provided to deepen learners' understanding. The video contents should be limited to 5-10 minutes to maintain engagement. Additionally, related studies may be conducted using other subject-related videos.<br/><br/> |
