| Summary, etc | This study investigates the influence of shift work on employee job performance at Elite Processing Services Inc. in Quezon City. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, the study aims to gather comprehensive insights into the challenges and benefits associated with shift work among office employees. The respondents of this research included a sample of office workers from Elite Processing Services Inc. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean and rank statistical methods.<br/><br/>The findings revealed a high level of employee satisfaction in several critical domains related to shift work schedules. Specifically, employees expressed strong satisfaction with a Manageable Workload (M = 4.84) and the level of Control they had over their work (M = 4.78) both of which were instrumental in facilitating effective shift management. Under the Rewards category, employees rated their motivation stemming from recognition and incentives positively, with an average mean score of (M = 4.76) Furthermore, employees reflected positively on their sense of Community, with a mean score of (M = 4.73) indicating a robust sense of collaboration and belonging within the organization.<br/><br/>The study also assessed the perception of fairness in shift scheduling, as evidenced by a mean score of (M = 4.69) for Shift Faimess, reflecting the transparency and equity in shift allocations. Additionally, the overall alignment of employees with Company Values was significant, yielding a mean score of (M = 4.7) which highlights the organization's commitment to core principles and work-life balance.<br/>Performance evaluations conducted over the past three years indicated that 52.94% of employees were rated as "Very Satisfactory," while 21.57% received an "Outstanding" rating, demonstrating a pattem of consistently high employee performance. Importantly, the study identified a significant correlation between the implementation of Shift Work Schedules and employee performance, particularly regarding manageable workloads and positive employee control. These findings underscore the importance of understanding shift work dynamics and their implications for enhancing job performance within the workplace. |
