| Summary, etc | This study investigates the work preparedness of business graduates from the University of Rizal System - Rodriguez, with a primary focus on elucidating the vital role that the institution plays in equipping its students with the essential skills and competencies necessary for successful professional careers in an increasingly competitive and dynamic job market. The research aims to explore not only the self-assessments of graduates regarding their own preparedness but also to identify the specific challenges they encounter in acquiring critical workplace competencies that are vital for their future employability.<br/><br/>Utilizing a qualitative phenomenological research approach, this study engaged in-depth interviews with a select group of seven graduates from the classes of 2022 and 2023. These interviews were conducted through various modalities, including both Google Meet and face-to-face interactions, thereby facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the participants' experiences. To bolster the validity and reliability of the findings, member checking was employed, allowing participants to provide feedback on the accuracy of the data and interpretations captured during the interviews. This methodological rigor contributes to a nuanced understanding of graduates' perceptions and reflections regarding their readiness to enter the workforce.<br/><br/>The findings underscore that the University of Rizal System - Rodriguez is successful in preparing its business graduates for professional success through the implementation of experiential leaming strategies. These strategies encompass a variety of approaches, such as internships, project-based courses,<br/><br/>and collaborative initiatives with industry partners. Such experiential opportunities not only enhance students' theoretical knowledge but also promote the practical application of critical competencies, including problem-solving, effective communication, and leadership skills. Moreover, the university's networking events and strategic partnerships with various businesses afford graduates valuable insights into industry demands and provide direct pathways to job opportunities.<br/><br/>Participants in the study reported that their work readiness is further enhanced through constructive feedback mechanisms, ongoing self-assessment processes, and practical experiences, such as On-the-Job Training (OJT). These experiences are often supplemented by various goal-setting tools designed to assist students in tracking their progress and achieving their career objectives. effectively. Nevertheless, the study also uncovers significant challenges that graduates face in acquiring essential technical skills. These challenges frequently arise from the inherent complexities associated with modern technological advancements as well as personal barriers, including self-doubt and apprehension regarding their proficiency with contemporary tools and software.<br/><br/>To mitigate these challenges effectively, the presence of expert guidance, mentorship programs, and opportunities for peer collaboration are identified as critical factors that can bolster graduates' skill acquisition and confidence levels. The alignment of educational programs with real-world job opportunities, coupled with an adaptive approach to emerging technological trends, emerges as essential for continuous skill development and ensuring comprehensive career preparedness.<br/><br/>In conclusion, the findings of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the intricate factors influencing work preparedness among business graduates. They underscore the significance of fostering an educational environment that not only bridges the gap between academic theory and practical application but also supports students in navigating the complexities of the modern workforce. This holistic approach to education is vital for enhancing the long-term success and employability of graduates in their professional pursuits. |
