| Summary, etc. | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip. This study sought to design and construct a Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip out of locally available materials, performed try-out and revisions, evaluate the level of performance in terms of flexural test. impact/compact test, and water absorption test, determine the level of acceptability of developed Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip and existing Alternative Floor Parquet and Wall Tiles Utilizing Coconut Shells in terms of appearance, usefulness, economical aspect, environmental aspect, and safety and maintainability, and determine the significant difference between the level of acceptability of developed and existing output in terms of above-mentioned variables. This study was conducted at the University of Rizal System Morong, Rizal during the A.Y. 2023-2024. Five respondent groups were chosen: two (2) Architects, two (2) Civil Engineers, one (1) Civil Engineering Student, five (5) Civil Technology Experts, and twenty (20) Civil Technology students using purposive sampling technique. The researchers used descriptive, developmental, and experimental methods of research to develop laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip. The researchers used a researcher-made questionnaire checklist as the instrument that would be used as the main tool for gathering data for the study to determine the level of acceptability of Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip. In terms of designing and construction the Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip, the materials needed can be acquired locally in hardware stores. The try out and revisions of Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip Initials trial revealed defects related to product thickness, and stickiness of the binder. Researchers promptly addressed these issues to improve the products quality. On the level of performance in terms of flexural, Impact/compact and water absorption test, the project received a verbal interpretation of βVery Satisfactory.β On the level of acceptability of developed Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chip and existing Alternative Floor Parquet and Wall Tiles Utilizing Coconut Shells, the project was both extremely acceptable, extremely useful, extremely economical, extremely environmentally friendly, extremely safe and maintainable. On the significant difference between the evaluations made by the respondents, there is no significant difference on the level of acceptability of developed Laminated Wood Parquet Utilizing Wood Chips and Alternative Floor Parquet and Wall Tiles Utilizing Coconut Shells Alternative Floor Parquet and Wall Tiles Utilizing Coconut Shells in terms of appearance, usefulness, economical aspect, environmental aspect, and safety and maintainability. |
