Summary, etc. The study aimed to design an Internet of Things–Based Library Booking System and to assess its acceptability in terms of Functional Suitability, Portability, Usability, Reliability, Security, and Maintainability. The study was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the school year 2023–2024. The study involved a thorough analysis of responses from a substantial sample size comprising ninety (90) student researchers and ten (10) experts, totaling one hundred (100) respondents. To ensure a comprehensive understanding of the collected data, a statistical technique known as weighted mean was employed. This method facilitated the synthesis of distinct viewpoints while accounting for the varying degrees of significance attributed to each respondent's input. The instrument utilized for data collection was a thoroughly designed questionnaire checklist, tailored specifically for researchers and modified to align with the objectives of the study. Utilizing a 5-point Likert scale, this questionnaire provided a structured framework for prompting responses from participants, enabling the systematic gathering of pertinent data. Through the combination of robust statistical analysis and accurate survey methodologies, this research endeavor aimed to derive meaningful insights into the subject matter under investigation. Conforming to a complex approach, this study seamlessly integrated two distinct research methodologies: developmental and descriptive. Through developmental research, novel advancements were achieved in the Library Booking System, leveraging the power of Internet of Things (IoT). Concurrently, the descriptive research component meticulously assessed the acceptability of the Internet of Things–Based Library Booking System, offering invaluable insights into various study variables. This holistic methodological framework not only fostered innovation but also provided a comprehensive understanding of the system's functionality and reception within the target user base. The results of the evaluation show that the Internet of Things–Based Library Booking System is deemed "Very Much Acceptable." Functional Suitability garnered the highest average of 4.81, interpreted verbally as “Very Much Acceptable.” Similarly, Usability, Reliability, and Maintainability achieved an average of 4.76, also interpreted as “Very Much Acceptable.” Likewise, Security accumulated an average of 4.63, interpreted as “Very Much Acceptable.” However, Portability attained an average of 4.62, representing the lowest among the assessed aspects but still considered “Very Much Acceptable.” The Internet of Things–Based Library Booking System was successfully developed using IoT and Cloud API, enhancing its comprehension and response capabilities. Across various functional aspects—such as Functional Suitability, Portability, Usability, Reliability, Security, and Maintainability—the system was rated "Very Much Acceptable" by respondents. Notably, its functional suitability, usability, and maintainability were praised for features like accessibility, easy updates, and real-time updates, making it highly beneficial for academic settings. The recommendations for improving the Internet of Things–Based Library Booking System include enhancing accessibility, improving performance efficiency, ensuring usability, and maintaining system reliability.
