Summary, etc. This study determined the perception of private and public fourth year high school students on the benefits of tourism course conducted during the School Year 2014-2015. The descriptive design of research was utilized in the study applying survey method with a questionnaire checklist as the primary instrument to gather data. The data gathered were aided with the use of frequency, percentage and mean. One hundred (100) students of San Roque National High School, San Jose National High School, Sumulong Memorial High School, and Our Lady of Peace School were selected randomly as the respondents of the study. The findings showed the respondents as from both the private and public school have the same perception on the benefits of tourism course in terms of job satisfaction, career development, economic stability and career prospects. However, the perception of prospective students from private and public schools in relation to taking up a tourism course have the lowest perception on economic stability in a tourism-related employment. Since the lowest perception is on economic stability of a tourism job as perceived by the students in private and public high schools, the researchers recommend that tourism industry shall offer abundant opportunity for students seeking careers in a dynamic, international industry. The tourism can further the creation of employment and regional development.
