| Summary, etc | The purpose of this study is to explore the perspectives of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) students at the University of Rizal System regarding the qualifying examination. A total of 30 respondents, consisting of first and second year BEEd students, participated in the research. The participants were selected through purposive sampling, focusing specifically on students enrolled in the BEEd program who are directly affected by the qualifying examination. To achieve the study's objectives, the researcher employed a mixed-method approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data through questionnaires and interviews. These tools were designed to gather insights into the students' preparation, experiences, and emotional responses related to taking the qualifying examination.<br/><br/>The findings reveal that students hold varied perspectives on thequalifying examination While many view it as important step in their academic journey, others find it difficult to accept due to its pressure and implications Nonetheless, regardless of their individual views, students acknowledge the importance of taking the qualifying examination seriously, recognizing it as a crucial requirement for continuing in their chosen field. The respondents also shared their opinions and suggestions aimed at improving both student preparation and the overall qualifying examination process to better support future candidates.<br/><br/>The study's findings and conclusions provided a comprehensive analysis of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) students' perceptions of the qualifying examination at the University of Rizal System in Rodriguez campus. The research revealed that while students generally viewed the exam as practical and motivational, their perceptions of its relevance varied based on age and gender A significant majority of respondents were female, and most were first-year BEED students. The study also highlighted a neutral view of the exam's connection to their field of study, along with suggestions for improvement, including enhancing the exam's comprehensiveness, adjusting the passing score, providing more review time, and simplifying the language used These findings underscore the need for exam design to cater to diverse student demographics and experiences to improve student engagement and overall effectiveness. |
