520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The study aimed to design and develop Alcohol Detector with Notification Syst and attempted to design and construct the device and through try-out and revisions until the project reached its functional output and attain the project's objectives. Likewise, it aimed to determine the level of performance of the Alcohol Detector with Notification System in terms of sensitivity on alcohol detection, response time of locking system and SMS notification. Lastly it determined the level of acceptability of the Alcohol Detector with Notification System in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, safety, and maintainability. This study is conducted at the University of Rizal System located at Juan Sumulong Street, San Juan, Morong, Rizal of December 2022 by selected Bachelor of Technology students major in Electronics Technology. The device will be evaluated by the experts and the students. The first group were five (5) Electrical and Electronics technology professors from the College of Industrial Technology and twenty-five (25) Bachelor of Technology major in Electronics Technology students from the same College and University. This study used the descriptive, developmental and experimental method of research in conducting the study. Developmental research refers to various kinds of search approaches that are related to design and development of work. The Alcohol Detector with Notification System was made out of locally available materials with proper planning and designing of the project, technical drawings, preparation of tools and selection of materials, programming, wiring and mounting, and as well as considering the proper experiment and testing of the project. The device was tested and through try-out and revisions, the project reached the functional output and attained the project objectives. The device is very sensitive as to its performance in sensing different amount of alcohol, and extremely responsive in locking system, and very responsive in SMS notification. The Alcohol Detector with Notification System is extremely accepted in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance, as evaluated by the student respondents and the experts.
