Summary, etc. The research study entitled HaciendaTrike: A Mobile Transportation Booking Application developed by the researchers to make commuting easier and more convenient for both passengers and tricycle drivers that can improve the transportation experience in remote areas. The study was conducted at University of Rizal System – Morong Campus during the School Year 2023 – 2024 and was tested at La Hacienda Teresa, Rizal. The researchers used modified questionnaire checklist as an instrument to measure the acceptability of the system. Seventy (70) respondents consisting of fifty-five (55) passengers and ten (10) drivers from the community of La Hacienda Teresa, Rizal including five (5) experts. The system was evaluated by the experts because their specialization matters for further development and improvement of the device, its operations, functions, and purpose. The researchers used convenience sampling methods of research in conducting the study. The study used the combined methodology and strategies of a developmental research and descriptive study. Developmental research methodology is needed for the analysis and testing of the developed system. While the descriptive study is used to analyze the data gathered during the evaluation stage of the study. The researcher used a convenience sampling method in order to select respondents based on their ease of access and availability from La Hacienda Community. The researchers used a 5-point modified questionnaire checklist to determine the level of its acceptability in terms of functional suitability, usability, portability, reliability, security and maintainability of the system. For furthermore analysis and interpretation of data the researchers used Likert Scale in order to understand and analyze the data gathered. The result of the evaluation illustrated that HaciendaTrike: A Mobile Transportation Booking Application was “Very Much Accepted” in terms of functional suitability, usability, portability, reliability, security and maintainability with weighted mean of 4.70, 4.77, 4.73, 4.72, 4.69 and 4.67 respectively. Based on the findings of the study, the developed system was strongly accepted by the respondents. This implied that the developed system meets its objective and may serve as a great help to passengers and drivers of La Hacienda Teresa, Rizal as well as the researchers or experts. With the respondents consistent rating of “Very Much Acceptable” for the developed system. The researchers concluded that this is a proof that the developed system was able to give a convenient and safe ride and made La hacienda community adopt to new innovations and technology that leads to advancement in transportation. For future researchers, recommendations would be advised to upgrade the software to include push notifications, add additional payment options. Also, consider integrating additional features into the software and expand its accessibility by ensuring compatibility with iPhone devices, as well as considering alternative booking methods for drivers and commuters without smartphones. Lastly, future research studies can utilize the findings of this study to explore the possibility of expanding the Mobile Transportation Booking beyond La Hacienda Teresa, Rizal.
