Summary, etc. This research study aimed to tackle the development and assessment of an innovative overload monitoring system that aimed to enhance the passenger safety at Talim Island Community. The primary objective was to develop a monitoring system capable of giving real time set of data that helps maintain the safety of the passengers. Moreover, this study specifically aimed to design and develop an overload monitoring system that can meticulously tally passengers boarding the motor banca while simultaneously detecting its load status, an essential metric for determining the motor banca’s weight. Additionally, the researchers aimed to present a user-friendly monitoring interface that can facilitate efficient oversight of the real-time set of data needed for the safe departure of the motor banca. Lastly, researchers integrated an SMS Notification through the use of GSM Module, which is designed to promptly alert monitoring officials, thereby reinforcing passenger safety protocols. In lined with this is testing the performance of each feature present on the device. Hence, determining the level of acceptability of the developed system in reference to ISO//IEC 25010, has been also taken into account. The design methodology involved a developmental research technical design which helps enabled the researchers to create a reliable solution that successfully tackled the needs to design and develop an overload monitoring system for motor banca to improve monitoring process of measuring the safeness of passengers. This approach provides proper applications that are essentially needed for the success development of the system. The general findings of the research highlighted the effectiveness of the system in providing real-time monitoring of the loading status of a motor banca and the passenger count, ensuring of a safe departure. Additionally, the system was perceived as extremely acceptable across various parameters, indicating a favorable level of acceptability. Furthermore, Functional Suitability got a score of 4.60 showcasing how well it meets the beneficiaries’ needs, 4.59 for performance efficiency, and 4.61 for reliability. When it comes to security, the system got a score of 4.61, and for the maintainability, it got 4.53. Installability also received a good rating of 4.61. Overall, respondents find the Overload Monitoring System to be "Extremely Acceptable" in terms of both how well it works and its performance. Generally, the developed overload monitoring system has showcased exceptional performance, significantly enhancing passenger safety in the Talim Island Community through precise data collection, smooth operation, and minimal downtime, even in challenging conditions. Its robust security features, including measures to prevent unauthorized access, encrypt data, and uphold passenger confidentiality, underscore its dedication to user privacy and safety. By bolstering operational efficiency and maritime security, the system exemplifies reliability and security. Performance testing confirms its ability to manage passenger count fluctuations, ensure responsive webpages, and minimize notification delays, highlighting its critical role in improving operational efficiency, user experience, and regulatory compliance in maritime transportation. With an overall weighted mean of 4.59, deemed extremely acceptable, the system excels in functional suitability, performance efficiency, reliability, security, and installability, although there's room for enhancement in maintainability, which received the lowest score of 4.53. Recommendations for further research and improvements encompass the implementation of a multi-factor authentication (MFA) for an extra layer of security by requiring users to provide multiple forms of verification to access their accounts, along with the integration of a solar panel as the main source of power supply for the device offers a sustainable and efficient solution, harnessing renewable energy to ensure continuous operation while minimizing environmental impact. These recommendations aim to improve the system's overall effectiveness and accessibility, ensuring its continued relevance and utility in serving maritime communities.
