520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Generally, this study was able to design and fabricate a vapor compression refrigeration training kit to be used as laboratory equipment for University of Rizal System Morong Campus. Specifically, this study has been able to developed a vapor compression refrigeration training kit. The acceptability of the developed vapor compression refrigeration training kit has been evaluated in terms of functional suitability, maintainability, performance efficiency, reliability, safety and usability. The study also created modules and activities for the developed vapor compression refrigeration training kit. The developed modules and activities have also been evaluated based on its content quality, format and language, instructional quality, and usability. A user manual was also created for the developed vapor compression refrigeration training kit. This study is conducted at University of Rizal System Morong, province of Rizal during the School Year 2023-2024. The researchers conducted a descriptive and developmental approach research that evaluated the level of acceptability of the developed vapor compression refrigeration training kit. In gathering data, the study used questionnaire surveys to evaluate the vapor compression refrigeration training kit as well as the modules and activities. The respondents for this research were thirty-seven (37) individuals in total, consisting of thirty-one (31) mechanical engineering students and six (6) engineering professors/instructors. The researchers utilized a four-point Likert scale for each verbal interpretation. The developed vapor compression refrigeration training kit was Highly Acceptable for the respondents in terms of functional suitability, maintainability, reliability, safety and usability, and Acceptable in its performance efficiency with the maintainability as the highest grand mean. The developed modules and activities for the vapor compression refrigeration training kit was Highly Acceptable regarding with its content quality, format and language, instructional quality and usability, with usability having the highest grand mean. The study found out that the developed vapor compression refrigeration training kit lacks energy-saving features, resulting in a low performance efficiency. The device's coefficient of performance is less efficient compared to typical refrigeration systems. Despite this, the kit is functional and suitable for engineering instructors and students to enhance their skills. The modules and activities are designed to be effective, with discussions and tasks appropriate for the kit's objectives. The kit is safe to use, with clear labels and warning signs, and easy to follow directions. The user manual is effective in orienting users on the kit's capabilities and limitations, providing necessary information for proper storage and use. Overall, the vapor compression refrigeration training kit is suitable for teaching engineering subjects and helping students apply their knowledge into real-world systems. The study suggests incorporating Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) into a vapor compression refrigeration training kit to enhance its energy-saving capabilities. It also suggests measuring the kit's portability and developing video demonstrations for students. The effectiveness of the modules and activities should be assessed, and maintenance procedures should be included in the user manual. Additionally, a flow meter device should be added to the kit to access the refrigerant's volume flow rate, allowing users to determine the rate of heat transfer through the evaporator and condenser. These recommendations aim to improve the training kit's energy efficiency and user-friendliness.
