Summary, etc This study aimed to determine the Sociological Perspectives of Muslims in San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal. The researchers used Qualitative method of research. This was participated in by fifteen residents of Sitio Maislap and Upper Tanag II, Muslim Area, San Isidro who served as respondents. It was conducted during the School Year 2017-2018.<br/><br/>From the gathered data, the following were the drawn findings:<br/><br/>On the profile of the respondents in terms of sex males dominated females. In terms of age, the respondents were all adults. In terms of civil status, most of the respondents were married. Most of the respondents did not finish their studies. Most of the male respondents ran a business and the female respondents were housewives.<br/><br/>On the sociological perspectives of Muslims in terms of courtship, the Muslims did not practice any courtship without parental permission. In terms of marriage, it was considered as sacred. In terms of food, they preferred to eat "Halal based on the proper dietary laws of Qur'An. In celebrating Ramadan, if the young Muslims reached puberty stage they could participate in the five times prayer and fasting from sunrise to sunset. Muslims avoided committing sins in respect to Allah in their celebration. The common problems that Muslims usually addressed to their Sultan was marital problems and conflicts on the ownership of property. Other ceremonies that Muslim practiced were Akika, Pag-Islam, Kanduli, Muharram, Eid al Adha, Eid al Fitr, Nikaah and burial ceremony. Most of the respondents did believe on superstitious beliefs and depended only on the teachings on Qur'An<br/><br/>On how Muslims interacted inside their community, almost half of the respondents did not experience arguments to Non-Muslims and the other half experienced having misunderstood to other religion. The respondents respected their community leader and actively participated in the program conducted within their area. In terms of business or occupation matters, the respondents treated their Non-Muslim co-workers kindly so that they would be treated well in return. In terms of education, most of the respondents did not experience discrimination in the school. In terms of clothing, most of the respondents experienced being questioned on the way they dressed when they wanted go to public places like market.<br/><br/>On the problems encountered by the Muslims with regards in their relationship with other social institutions, most of the respondents did not experience having conflict with other Muslims in their community. They acted in accordance or harmony in other social institution.<br/><br/>On the Muslims' response to modernization, the respondents taught their children on Islamic values and practices. Most of their businesses were related to audio-visual gadgets their response to the demands of people looking for cheaper ones, Moreover, they suggested that long-term projects of the government like roads and proper disposal of waste would be a big help to them.<br/><br/>Based on the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn:<br/><br/>Muslims prefer having business more than pursuing studies. Muslims have established sociological perspectives in Courtship, Marriage, Food, Religion, Government, Ceremonial and Belief and they preserve them for the next generation. Muslims have their own coping mechanism in interacting with the community they are engaged with. Muslims live in harmony with their co-Muslims and other communities they are living with. Muslims are business minded people, they sell modern gadgets at a cheaper price.<br/><br/>In light of the recommendations, the following recommendations where suggested: The National Government specifically the Department of Education is encouraged to implement programs to help Muslims in terms of literacy. Local Government Unit and Non-Government unit. Must provide different programs for the Muslims in San Isidro such as livelihood, and development programs that will help Muslim community to sustain their needs.<br/><br/>They should have long-term projects in their community like road construction and security of their community regardless of their beliefs, culture, and religion within their community. They should conduct seminars that give Muslim an awareness about their rich culture and how they preserve it despite of the different manifestations of Globalization in their culture, education, religion politics and economy. The National Commission of Indigenous People (NCIP) is encouraged to create a law that mainly focuses on the socio-economic opportunity for indigenous people like Muslims which mainly find in the Philippine island. Teaching Institutions. Should conduct seminars about the multicultural diversity and they should teach the students to avoid stereotyping and ethnocentrism. Students. Should be required to attend anti-bullying seminars, to lessen the discrimination towards the Muslims and other indigenous people.<br/><br/>Future Researchers, should conduct more researches related to this study because it helps the nation to widen their knowledge and perspective about the Muslims.
