Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Computer Science) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop the Computer-aided Module in selected topics in Mathematics for Grade 2. This was conducted at URSM Campus Laboratory schools during the second grading period of the school year 2013-2014. The subject of the study is the developed Computer-Aided Module in Selected in Mathematics for grade 2 pupils. The respondents of the study are the 15 Information Technology instructor on the University of Rizal System Morong Campus and 6 Elementary teachers from URSM Laboratory Schools. This study used the descriptive developmental method. Adobe Flash Professional CS6 was used in creating animation and Visual Basic 6.0 was utilized as the programming language in the development of the program. The adopted and modified questionnaire-checklist was used in this study was adopted and modified questionnaire-checklist. It was developed by Kristin Miller and Jacqueline Bach, SAS in school Interns, Summer 2001. 0The Mathematical performance of the respondents before and after the exposure to Computer-aided Module was 19.00 and 27.76, respectively. This shows that there was a difference of 8.76 as mean gain score of the respondents which only proves that the remedial approach was done and effective through the use of computers. There is also a significant difference among the mathematical performance of the respondents after they were exposed to Computer-aided module in solving problems as revealed by the result on the pretest and post test. Thus, The significant value of 0.05 computed t-value of 11.94 signifies difference on the mathematical performance of the respondents. In general, it was found out that the developed program with regards to instructional content, curriculum connection, graphics and multimedia, lay-out, technical aspects, assessment, age/grade level and flexibility is very much accepted. The researchers therefore concluded that the developed Computer-aided Module is a useful material in learning Mathematics for Grade 2. With all the formulation and conclusions, the researchers recommended that the developed Computer-aided Module could be utilized by the teachers as the alternative tools in teaching Mathematics. It is also recommended for the pupils to use the developed module to encourage and catch their interest in learning mathematics. Follow-up study should be conducted to improve the developed module, considering other areas and topic.
