This was conducted during the school year 2014-2015. The subjects of the study were the selected freshmen student of college of science. A researcher's made questionnaire checklist on the extent of using the mobile communication technology and face-to-face conversation of selected freshmen of college of science in University of Rizal System - Morong was used as the main instrument in gathering needed data. For the analysis of the gathered data, the following statistical treatments were used. To determine the extent of using the Mobile Communication Technology, the weighted mean was applied. To determine the extent of engaging in face-to-face conversation, the weighted mean was applied. To determine the significant difference between Mobile Communication Technology and face-to-face conversation in terms of having a quality in communication, T-Test was utilized. The study revealed that most of the freshmen student communities with the use of mobile communication technology with respect to the conceptual clarity obtaining a percent of 3.95 and verbally interpreted as often. Results of using mobile communication technology with respect to language obtain the percentage of 3.46 and verbally interpreted as strongly agree. Results of using mobile communication technology with respect to moods and receptivity obtain the percentage of 3.55 and verbally interpreted as strongly agree. Results of using mobile communication technology with respect to timeliness obtain the percentage of 3.72 and verbally interpreted as strongly agree. On the other hand, the extent of using face-to-face conversation with respect to conceptual clarity of the respondents obtained a percentage of 4.35 and verbally interpreted as very strongly agree. Results of using face-to-face conversation with respect to moods and receptivity obtain the percentage of 4.11 and verbally interpreted as strongly agree. On the difference of mobile communication technology and face-to-face conversation with respect to conceptual clarity, the computed t-value is 2.016, the level of significance is lower than 3.05, the null hypothesis is rejected, thus verbally interpreted as "significant". Furthermore with respect to language on the difference of mobile communication technology and face-to-face conversation, the computed t-value is 2.938, the level of significance is lower than 0.05, rejecting the null hypothesis and is verbally interpreted as "significant". Likewise, with respect to moods and receptivity on the difference of mobile communication technology and face-to-face conversation rejected the null hypothesis with a verbal interpretation of "significant" since the computed t-value is 2.427 and the level of significance is lower than 0.05. Conversely, with respect to timeliness on the difference of mobile communication technology and face-to-face conversation, the computed t-value is .645, exceeded the 0.05 level of significance, and accepted the null hypothesis, thus verbally interpreted as "not significant".
