This study determined the inventory and mapping of palm species in Sitio Toyang Brgy. Laiban Tanay, Rizal. It was conducted on January 22 to 26, 2020. The descriptive design method was used in the study. The researcher used complete enumeration in the conduct of the inventory of palm species. Based on the result of the study, there is a total of 4 palm species growing in the areanamely Pugahan (Caryotamitis lour), Anahaw (Saribus rotundifolios), Rattan (Calamus sp.) and Pandan (Pandanus sp.). Pugahan (Caryotamitis lour) has the most number of species in the area with 44 followed by Pandan (Pandanus) with 9; followed by Rattan (Calamus sp.) with 3 specie and Anahaw (Saribus rotundifolios) with 1. The species were found scattered growing among with trees and other forms of vegetation found in the area. The researcher recommends to continue conducting study on the status of palm species in terms of number and distribution of the species covering a larger area and use the findings of this study as baseline data on how to improve the protection and management of palm species.
