Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to design and construct a Charger with Multi Voltage Output: Bicycle as Prime mover to be use in charging cellular phones. Specifically, it aimed to test the developed device in terms of functionality of parts, maintenance and safety features of the project; determine the significant difference on the evaluation made by the two groups of respondents on the acceptability of the developed charger with multi voltage output with respect to the mentioned variables. The researchers utilized the validated researchers' made questionnaire checklist in determining the acceptability of the developed charger with multi voltage output. There were two groups of respondents who provided pertinent information crucial to the completion of this study. The first group consisted of thirty (30) BT-Electrical students as end users, and eleven (11) faculty members as experts who have knowledge, skills, and thorough understanding on its construction and operation. The result were tallied and computed for the analysis. The weighted mean was used to determine the acceptability of the project while independent t-value was used to test the significant difference on the perception of the experts and the end users on the acceptability of development of charger with multi voltage output. On the acceptability of the developed charger with multi voltage output, in terms of design, as evaluated by the end users got an average weighted mean of 4.9 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. As evaluated by the experts, got an average weighted mean of 5.0 and verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. In terms of functionality, as evaluated by end user, got an average weighted mean of 4.9, which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. As evaluated by the experts, it got an average weighted mean of 4.9 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. As evaluated by the experts, it got an average weighted mean of 4.9 and verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. In terms of safety and Maintenance, as evaluated by end users got an average weighted mean of 4.9 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. As Evaluated by the experts, it got an average weighted mean of 4.9 and verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. In general, the acceptability of the developed device as evaluation by the end users and experts obtained a verbal interpretation of extremely accepted having a general weighted mean of by the respondents. On the significant difference on the level of acceptability on the developed charger with multi voltage output as perceived by the two groups of respondents with respect to design, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance obtained a computed t-test that is less than the tabulated t-value at 0.05 level of significance. Therefore, the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the perception of the two groups of respondents is accepted. The result shows that the two groups of respondents have similar perception on the developed device. This correlated that the respondents perceived the developed device as usable and can be adapted by end users for their use. It was concluded that the developed charger with multi voltage output: bicycle as prime mover is extremely accepted by the respondents in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance. It was concluded that there was no significant difference on the level of acceptability of the developed device as perceived by the experts and end-users. Based from the result of the study, it was recommended the charger's chassis must be improved for safety and security. It is also recommended to add panel indicators for checking and verification. Moreover, it is recommended that further studies should be conducted to improve this result.
