Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled Communication Skills of Guidance and Counseling students: Its Implication to Counseling', aimed to determine the communication skills of guidance and counseling students and its implication to counseling during school year 2013-2014. The subjects of the study were sixty (60) guidance and counseling students at the University of Rizal System Morong Campus, as the setting of the study. The subjects were described using their profile such as gender, religion, monthly family income, parental status and year level. They also served as the respondents, since the researchers believed that they could supply information necessary in the success of this study. This study is limited to guidance and counseling students of College of Science. This study used the descriptive method of research utilizing the researchers made questionnaire-checklist validated by the experts and administered to the respondents to gather the needed data. For the analysis and interpretation of data, the following statistical treatments were considered. To determine the profile of the respondents in terms of gender, religion, monthly family income, parental status, and year level, frequency, percentage and rank distribution were used. To determine the extent to communication skills of the students with respect to different aspect mean was utilized. To determine the extent of the implication of communication skills with respect to different aspects, means was used. To find the significant difference on the extent of communication skills with respect to different factors in terms of their profile ANOVA was employed. To find the significant relationship between the communication skills and the implication to counseling, Correlation coefficient, Pearson-r was utilized. The summary of findings based from the analysis of data and results obtained in the previous chapter are hereby presented. Based on the results obtained, the following conclusions were cited: Gender, religion, monthly family income and parental status are not contributory to the communication skills of guidance and counseling students. The communications skills of guidance and counseling students are well-developed and improving. The communication skills of the students are really necessary in making reports, interview, making feedback and interpretation of results. The profile of the respondents does not significantly affect the communication skills in counseling. Communication skills are connected to guidance and counseling procedures. On the basis of foregoing findings and conclusions, the following recommendations are hereby offered. Workshops, seminars and trainings on communication skills must be conducted to improve the communication ability of the students. Conduct different counseling sessions or activities in order for them to become a good communicator and to become an effective and efficient future guidance counselor. Continuous peer counselors' training to all guidance and counseling students must be conducted to improve counseling skills. Parallel study may be conducted using other variables.
