Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to determine the parental involvement on values development of kindergarten pupils in selected public elementary in Morong, Rizal during the school year 2014-2015. The study was conducted during the school year 2014-2015 in selected public elementary schools in Morong, Rizal. The main objective of the study was to explore and to find out parental involvement on values development of kindergarten pupils. The respondents of the study were composed of 70 parents of kindergarten pupils. This research used the descriptive survey method of research utilizing questionnaire-checklist to gather the needed information to determine the extent of parental involvement on values development of kindergarten pupils about the present existing condition. The record sheet contains the profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, occupation, and number of children. This tool was subjected for content validation of the teachers and expert in the field of research. One-Way ANOVA was the statistical tool used in order to determine the extent of parental involvement on the values development of kindergarten pupils. The findings describe that in terms of age, the respondents were 23-29 years old which have an equivalent percentage of 32.86; in terms of sex, 64 or 91.43 percent are females and 6 or 8.57 percent are males; in terms of occupation, 44 or 62.86 percent are housewives in terms of the number of children, 36 or 51.43 percent of the respondents have 2-3 number of siblings. On the extent of parental involvement on the values development of kindergarten pupils with respect to personal values, the general mean is 4.70 and verbally interpreted as always; with respect to interpersonal values the general mean is 4.77 and verbally interpreted as always; with respect to nationalism general mean is 4.53 and verbally interpreted as always and with respect to spiritual values the general mean is 4.61 and verbally interpreted as always. Therefore, there are more female respondents than male. Majority of the respondents belongs to age bracket of 23-29. Most of the parent's occupation are housewives. Most of the respondents have 2-3 number of children. Majority of the aspects is interpersonal values which is value to love, care and respect to all the members of the family got the highest general mean of 4.87 which verbally interpreted as always. Age, sex, occupation and number of children were not significant factors on the parential involvement on values development. Based on the findings and conclusions of the study the researchers recommended the following: school should provide programs and activities with collaboration to parents and other community members that can help to promote nationalism among young children; parents and school should demonstrate and expose children particularly in some spiritual activities to develop the respect, love and appreciate the creator; and conduct a follow-up study similar to the present one using other variables.
