Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electronics Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This entitled Development of Locator Device for Accident and Carnapping aimed to develop and construct a device that can be used by car owners. Specifically, it aimed to design and construct the locator device for accident and carnapping out of locally available materials, perform try-out and revision, evaluate the acceptability of the project in terms of usefulness, functionality, performance, safety and maintenance, and test the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users. The researcher utilized a research instrument or evaluation sheet to determine the acceptability of the developed locator device for accident and carnapping. The experts in the Electronics Technology of Industrial Technology validated the research instrument. The respondents provided pertinent information crucial to the completion of this study. The results were tallied and computed for analysis. There were two groups of respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. The first group was five (5) experts who have knowledge, skills and understanding on Electronics operation. The other group was fifteen (15) end-users, who used the develop locator device for accident and carnapping. The t-test was used to test if there is any significant difference on the perception of the end-users. On the acceptability of the developed locator device for accident and carnapping in terms of usefulness, functionality, performance, and safety and maintenance, it obtained excellent as evaluated by the experts and end-users. In general, the acceptability of the project as evaluated by the experts and end-users obtained a verbal interpretation of excellent having a general average weighted mean of 4.7 and 4.5 respectively. The Developed Locator Device for Accident and Carnapping was designed and constructed out of locally available materials. The project was highly accepted as evaluated by the respondents. The computed t-value in terms of usefulness, functionality, performance, and safety and maintenance shows that there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users.
