Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This research study aimed to construct Modified Miter Box Saw; specially, this study attempted to design and construct a modified miter box saw, perform try out and revision and evaluate the acceptability of the device in terms of performance, usefulness, durability and safety and maintenance. It was a conducted at University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during S.Y 2014-2015. The study focused on the evaluation of the Modified Miter Box Saw and Existing Miter Box Saw in terms of performance, usefulness, durability and safety and maintenance by the respondents which consisted of 5 experts and 15 end-users. Try-out and revisions were also done by the researchers during the construction period. They found out that there was a problem in cutting the materials. After all defects were found out, as well as the problems encountered during the experimental period, revisions were done by the researchers to replace and fix the defective parts of the device. Based on summary of the finding, the developed Modified Miter Box Saw found out to be acceptable as compared to Existing Miter Box Saw as to performance, usefulness, durability and safety and maintenance by the experts and the end-users. The study concluded that the developed Modified Miter Box Saw have a significant difference on the Existing Miter Box Saw in terms of performance, usefulness, durability and safety and maintenance. Based from the result of findings and conclusion, the researchers recommended that the financial support should be given for implementation and parallel study should be made to understand and to improve this study.
