The researcher employed developmental descriptive type and experimental type of research in this study. To attain the stated objectives, the research basically focused on comparing the different types of concrete in terms of its strength, and workability. The researchers chose five different types of concrete; the normal concrete, Lightweight concrete, Air-entrained concrete, Polymer concrete and High Strength concrete. In this study there are procedural steps to follow; preparation of materials, the materials of proportioned and mixed based on the design of the concrete. Making of concrete cylinder sample, the concrete is cured for 28 days. After 28 days the concrete samples undergo compressive strength test. The result on actual testing will be analysed and compared to make a final conclusion. It was determined that there are many factors affecting the strength of each type of concrete, such as; quality of raw materials, water and cement ratio, coarse and fine aggregate ratio, age of concrete, compaction of concrete, temperature, relative humidity and curing of concrete. In general, each concrete have different characteristic that can be used for different types of construction. Based on the analysis and conclusion, the researchers recommended for the future researchers to conduct parallel studies to improve the existing knowledge and ideas about the concrete types and its strength.
