This study primarily aimed to explore the essay writing skills of Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies Fourth Year Students in the University of Rizal System Pililla Campus Academic Year 2022-2023. Mixed method of research was utilized as it goes beyond mere gathering and tabulation of data. The study dealt with six research problems including: the profile of the AB ELS fourth year students in terms of age, sex, social media platform frequently used, and editing applications frequently used; level of essay writing skills as revealed by the scoring rubrics with respect to content, organization, language, and convention; significant difference in the essay writing skills with respect to mentioned dimensions in terms of age, sex, social media platform frequently used, and editing applications frequently used; difficulties encountered in developing essay writing skills; factors may help to participants in developing essay writing skills; and proposed program based on the findings. The statistical tools utilized were frequency, percentage, rank distribution, and mean. The respondents of this study were thirteen (13) or 100 percent of the total AB ELS fourth year students of the College of Social Sciences. The instrument used in this study was a researcher-made validated test questionnaire. It has two parts: the first was about the profile of the respondents containing the personal data which include age, sex, social media frequently visited, and editing applications frequently used. The second part was the test questionnaire which includes the essay composition such as descriptive, narrative, expository, and persuasive essay with the guide of rubrics composed of content, organization, language, and convention. The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents were in early adulthood; in terms of sex, most of them were female; with regard to social media frequently used, the Facebook application is the most commonly usable of the respondents; in terms of editing applications, Grammary got ranked first as revealed of the gathered data. As to the level of essay writing skills of AB ELS fourth year students with respect to content, respondents were outstanding mainly in descriptive essay; with respect to organization, respondents were outstanding specifically in persuasive essay; with respect to language, respondents got outstanding mostly in expository essay and; with respect to convention they got outstanding mostly in descriptive essay. There terms of age, sex, social media platform frequently used, and editing applications frequently used with respect to content, organization, language, and convention. Some participants found language difficulty, specifically of lack of vocabulary words. Reading and practice are common suggestions of AB ELS fourth year students to develop and improve one's writing skills. It concluded that the respondents were outstanding in all aspects of the criteria. It also found that AB ELS fourth year students are knowledgeable about essay writing and have skills that are classified as very satisfactory.
