Narrative Report Diploma in Agricultural Technology

The project entitled "BRNKZ Hog Fattening Project" was managed by proponent Winnie C. Brinquiz Jr, and it was conducted at Sitio Hamuyuan San Jose Rodriguez, Rizal. The project was chosen because it is profitable business in Agriculture.
The project was limited only to one (1) cycle of operation it was started on June 25, 2010 and ended on November 29, 2010. The project was composed of four (4) heads of a Large white breed, three were male and one (1) was female stock. The stocks were purchased from Sitio Hamuyuan amounting to two thousand pesos (P2, 000.00) per head.
The preparation of pigpen was done three (3) days before transferring the stocks. The pen was cleaned thoroughly with water and detergent and by the used of sodium hypochlorite as a disinfectant. The stocks were weighed before it was transferred to the pen in order to determined the initial weight of the individual stocks to monitor the weight gained. The stocks were housed in a pigpen with a measurement of 8ftx6ft and 7ft in height with concrete flooring and bamboo walling. The pigpen was slightly elevated with drainage holes at the rear portion of the pen to facilitate the flow of water during cleaning.
