The study was undertaken to determine the extent of utilization of the Enhanced Basic Education Information System in the operation of all public elementary schools in the district of Rodriguez, Rizal. It was conducted in selected large elementary schools within the district during the School Year 2019-2020.
This study was done to answer the formulated problems as to the profile of the school heads and coordinators, the level of utilization of enhanced basic education information system in the operation of public elementary school and the problems encountered during the implementation of web-system
The study made use of a descriptive evaluative method of research to accomplish the purpose of this study Frequency and percentage distribution were used to determine the status of implementation of the program in terms of the school profile, level of utilization in terms of collecting and submission of data with respect to the administrative process, curriculum management, and non-academic programs. Descriptive research design with thematic analysis was utilized to collect informative data on the problems, of teachers and school heads in the implementation of the system.
The respondents of the study were the seven (7) coordinators and seven (7) school heads who belong to the 7 large schools in District II of Rodriguez Rizal The 7 large selected schools and the respondents were purposively chosen since they had the most number data to gather. The instruments used in the study were the rubrics designed to get the level of utilization of EBEIS and guide questions for the interview to know how the coordinators of the schools utilize the system.
The findings of the study revealed that the level of EBEIS is highly utilized in terms of collecting and submission of data with respect to the administrative process, Curriculum management, and non-academic programs. The school heads and coordinator were the persons responsible for the utilization of the policy and guidelines on data collection of basic education statistics. Encoding online submission in the LIS and EBEIS were followed and they were assigned to monitor the class advisers if all learners' profiles were updated. The school heads (SHS) ensure the accuracy and completeness of the school's BOSY data before the submission to online platform. The school heads and coordinators were also assigned to report to the division office for the validation of submitted report.
