Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Elementary Education-Content Course University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal 2018 Summary: This study aimed to determine the challenges encountered during practice teaching of 4th year students of College of Education in University of Rizal System Rodriguez Rizal. There were 20 respondents purposely selected from six programs: English, Filipino, Math, Science, Social Studies and Content Courses This was conducted during the School Year 2017-2018 This study used the Descriptive Qualitative Research Method which aims to determine the nature of situation, as it exists at the time of study and to explore the causes of particular phenomena. The researchers conducted interview for the student teachers On the challenges encountered by the student teachers during their practice teaching, in terms of lesson planning area majority of them found difficulty making daily lesson plans In terms of evaluation techniques area, they deemed it hard to construct assessment based on the capability of their students who belonged to heterogeneous class in terms of classroom management area, since they were still practice teachers, some pupils were not cooperating, thus, disrupting while conducting their lessons in terms of teaching qualities area, though they knew the different style, they were still groping in concretizing them inside the classroom On the challenges that affected their performance, they considered maintaining their focus while teaching, exercising patience in dealing with their students, and coping with their frustration every time their students failed to meet their expectations On how their cooperating teachers affect the performance of the student teachers, they were given pieces of advice, motivation to go with their chosen profession despite with the problems they will encounter along the way. On how student teachers address the challenges they encountered during their practice teaching, they did time management, they took note the effective strategies executed by their cooperating teachers inside the classroom and executing their patience in dealing with their students who have diverse personalities. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were derived. Practice teachers encountered challenges during their actual teaching inside the classroom. Challenges may affect the practice teachers positively or negatively. Cooperating teachers help enhance their practice teachers' teaching competencies and attitudes Student teachers established their own coping mechanism such as time management, took note the effective strategies in teaching and executing their patience in the diverse personalities of their students in addressing the challenges they encountered In the light of findings and conclusions enumerated previously the following are hereby recommended. Student Teachers should be serious with their practice teaching so that they truly learn the best from the program is offering to them Cooperating Teachers should be role model to their student teachers They should be patient in teaching them proper execution of the approaches, strategies and techniques in teaching Curriculum Planer. They should intensify and give emphasize the curriculum to make it responsive to the needs of prospective teachers. Future Researchers should replicate this study by correlating the variables to the problems and difficulties encountered by the student teachers on a wider scale to validate the findings.

Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were derived. Practice teachers encountered challenges during their actual teaching inside the classroom. Challenges may affect the practice teachers positively or negatively. Cooperating teachers help enhance their practice teachers' teaching competencies and attitudes Student teachers established their own coping mechanism such as time management, took note the effective strategies in teaching and executing their patience in the diverse personalities of their students in addressing the challenges they encountered

In the light of findings and conclusions enumerated previously the following are hereby recommended. Student Teachers should be serious with their practice teaching so that they truly learn the best from the program is offering to them Cooperating Teachers should be role model to their student teachers They should be patient in teaching them proper execution of the approaches, strategies and techniques in teaching Curriculum Planer. They should intensify and give emphasize the curriculum to make it responsive to the needs of prospective teachers. Future Researchers should replicate this study by correlating the variables to the problems and difficulties encountered by the student teachers on a wider scale to validate the findings.
