Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Elementary Education University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal 2010 Summary: This study aimed to determine the common socio-physico-psychological factors affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils at Tagumpay Elementary School, SY. 2009-2010. This study was conducted at Tagumpay Elementary School, SY. 2009-2010. The respondents were the 46 grade school teachers. The researchers made used of the descriptive-survey method of research to describe the prevailing situation during the conduct of the study. An adopted questionnaire checklist from the thesis of Eliza Magno Valdez was administered to the respondents. To determine the socio-physico-psychological factors affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils as perceived by the respondents, the data gathered were treated statistically; arithmetic mean, standard deviation, ranking and t-test were applied. During the conduct of the study, as perceived by the respondents, among the physiological factors speech category of the pupils gained computed mean of 2.85, while the auditory category gained a computed mean of 2.84 and the visual category gained a computed mean of 2.75 On the perception of the respondents, there was no dominant among the physiological factors in affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils. It was also noted in the perceptions of the respondents, among the psychological factors motivation category gained a computed mean of 2.78 while behavior category gained a computed mean of 2.55, and emotion category gained a computed mean of 2.53. However, on the perception of the respondents among the sociological factors school environment of the pupils with a computed mean of 2.92 dominated the society with a computed mean of 2.07. On the test of significant difference between the physiological and psychological factors, the computed t-test value is 2.66 while p-value of 0.011 is less than 0.05 level of significance, thus the null hypothesis was rejected and revealed a significant difference. On the test of significant difference between the physiological and sociological factors, the computed t-test value is 3.30 while the p-value of 0.002 is less than 0.05 level of significance, thus the null hypothesis was rejected and revealed a significant difference. On the test of significant difference between the psychological and sociological factors, the computed t-test value is 1.74 while p-value of 0.083 is greater than 0.05 level of significance, thus the null hypothesis was fail to reject and revealed a non-significant difference Based on the findings the respondents disclosed that since all the physiological factors that affect learning were verbally interpreted as "Sometimes" for nothing among them dominated over the other. Hence pupils learned easily for they had good auditory, visual and speech condition On the psychological factors the respondents revealed that motivation was verbally interpreted as "Sometimes" it dominated among behavior and emotion which were verbally interpreted as "Seldom" in affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils. Hence grade school pupils get bored with the lesson and learned quite better whenever they were not motivated enough. On the sociological factors, the respondents revealed that school environment was verbally interpreted as "Fairly Serious Problem" dominated over the society which was verbally interpreted as "Not Serious Problem" in affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils Hence, grade school pupils learned better if their school environment was in good condition. The respondents revealed that there were significant differences both in physico-psychological factors and physico-sociological factors in affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils. On the other hand respondents revealed that there was no significant difference on the psycho-sociological factors in affecting the learning ability of the grade school pupils. The researchers recommended to the parents that they should encourage their children to study and do their school works even at home, as well as, take extra time to visit their children and discuss with the teacher the performance of their children. To the administrator together with the teachers, they should focus in enhancing the three skills of the students related to auditory, visual, and speech. They should continue in motivating their students to study more and have more interest in every learning activity. They should also keep on and keep up their good job and continue with dedication. To the students, they should pay more attention in their studies despite of trials and hardships, this study will serve as an inspiration for them to encourage exert their best efforts in order to overcome the factors that affect their learning. To the future researchers, they may undertake similar study in other school to gather more evidences that can deepen the present study.

This study aimed to determine the common socio-physico-psychological factors affecting the learning ability of grade school pupils at Tagumpay Elementary School, SY.

On the test of significant difference between the psychological and sociological factors, the computed t-test value is 1.74 while p-value of 0.083 is greater than 0.05 level of significance, thus the null hypothesis was fail to reject and revealed a non-significant difference

Based on the findings the respondents disclosed that since all the physiological factors that affect learning were verbally interpreted as "Sometimes" for nothing among them dominated over the other. Hence pupils learned easily for they had good auditory, visual and speech condition
