Includes bibliographical references.
This study assessed the emotional preparation of teacher education
students as part of the Student Teacher Enhancement Program. It was
conducted during the School Year 2023-2024 at the University of Rizal System
Cainta, Rizal, and involved 106 third year teacher education students chosen
using purposive and simple random sample approaches.
The study used an adapted questionnaire checklist along with statistical
methods such as frequency, percentage, rank distribution, and mean. The
majority of responses are between the ages of 20 and 21, which corresponds to
the average age of third year college students. Female responders outnumbered
males, and the vast majority were enrolled in BTLEd, BEEd, and BSEd
programs. Data collection methods were used on-site, and the students'
emotional preparation was evaluated across many aspects. Decision-making,
time management, self-awareness, and emotional readiness were all scored as
"Often" with the overall mean scores of 3.86, 3.90, 3.93, and 3.88, respectively.
