Utang na Loob is a fundamental aspect of Filipino culture that embodies reciprocity and gratitude. Recent studies explore various dimensions of utang na loob, highlighting only its advantages and positive aspects. However, utang na loob can also present potential challenges. Individuals may feel obligated to repay favors and experience feelings of indebtedness to other people given that they have relied on them in the past. Hence, this study explored the positive reciprocity as well as the potential challenges associated in utang na loob in the lived experiences of Filipinos through a phenomenological design, a Qualitative method. Purposive Sampling was utilized in selecting respondents from Generation Z, Generation Y/Millennials, and Generation X residing within Rizal province and answered self-made interview questions that carefully explore their perceptions and experiences and uncover differences in the concept of utang na loob across generations. Keywords: utang na loob, positive reciprocity, potential challenges, generations
