Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis College of Science University of Rizal System-Morong 2024 Summary: This study aimed to determine the level of self-regulation and interpersonal relationship of student-parents. It was conducted during the school year 2024-2025 at the University of Rizal System-Morong, while the subjects were 86 student-parents who are enrolled in different colleges such as the College of Science, College of Education, College of Engineering, and College of Industrial Technology who were chosen through purposive sampling technique. Hence, descriptive research design was employed. The study used a standardized self-regulation questionnaire to determine the level of self-regulation of student-parents. Meanwhile, a standardized interpersonal questionnaire was used to better understand and evaluate the level of interpersonal relationship of student-parents. Thus, Pearson-r was used to determine the significant relationship of self-regulation and interpersonal relationship of student-parents. To determine the level of self-regulation of student-parents with respect to impulse control, goal-orientation, self-direction, and decision-making, mean was used. To determine the level of interpersonal relationship of student-parents with respect to assertion of needs, bidirectional communication, conflict, disclosure and interpersonal closeness, and last, emotional experience and expression, mean was utilized. Meanwhile, to determine if there is a significant relationship between the student-parents’ self-regulation and interpersonal relationship, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC) or Pearson-r was utilized. Therefore, this study suggests that the overall self-regulation of student-parents has significant influence on how they act, shapes sense of social relationship with other people, and establishes a good foundation for interpersonal relationships with other people. It suggests that having a well-established self-control with your emotions, being oriented with your goals and clear directions upon yourself, and wise decision-making will bring self-fulfillment and satisfaction and improve the quality of your social relationship towards other people. It is recommended that the Office of Student Development Services of the University of Rizal System-Morong may develop a special program for student-parents which will establish good social relationships and encourage them to participate in any educational activities, allowing them to perform well and boost their sense of belongingness. Students, especially student-parents, may have collaborative engagement and activities that enable them to establish moral support and create bonds with one another. Future studies may explore and investigate parallel studies considering other variables.
