The study titled "Implementation of Maternal Care Program in Barangay Puray. Rodriguez, Rizal seeks to examine the maternal care services provided in this community. focusing on the challenges faced by pregnant women and new mothers. The primary objectives of the research include determining the demographic profile of respondents, assessing their perspectives regarding the maternal care program, and gathering recommendations to improve the program delivery.

Data were collected through structured interviews with participants, focusing on their demographic characteristics, experiences with maternal care services, and overall satisfaction with the support provided. The findings indicate that a significant portion of the respondents, primarily aged 15 to 17, are female, with many coming from families with low monthly incomes. Most respondents identified challenges in accessing maternal care, which were exacerbated by environmental factors and socioeconomic barriers. In particular, difficulties such as distance from healthcare facilities and inadequate staffing were highlighted, creating significant obstacles to receiving timely and effective maternal support.

Respondents expressed a collective understanding of the importance of comprehensive maternal care services. The data revealed a disparity between the quality of prenatal and postnatal care, emphasizing that while many knew the essentials of prenatal services, awareness and access to postnatal education and support were insufficient. The study identified that while participation in prenatal programs was generally positive, similar engagement in postnatal services was lacking. Respondents reported various coping mechanisms and support systems, indicating a need for community-based interventions to enhance maternal health outcomes.

In conclusion, the study reinforces the necessity of developing tailored strategies that address the specific needs and challenges faced by mothers in Barangay Puray. Recommendations include enhancing local healthcare infrastructure, improving accessibility to maternal care services, and providing comprehensive educational programs focused on both prenatal and postnatal care. The local government should prioritize establishing better emergency response capabilities and enhancing healthcare provider training to foster a supportive environment.

Moreover, the collaboration between local health authorities and community organizations is crucial to promote awareness of maternal health issues and to create support groups for mothers. By implementing these recommendations, the potential to significantly improve maternal healthcare services and overall well-being in Barangay Puray will be realized. This research aims to serve as a foundational study for further exploration into the complexities of maternal health in underserved communities and to inform future interventions that can fortify maternal care programs effectively.
