Dissertation note: Thesis BSOA University of Rizal System, Antipolo Campus 2015 Summary: This study aimed to determine the skills needed in the selected offices of industries in Antipolo City. There are 50 respondents taken from the public offices and 50 respondents from the private offices who participate in the study This study utilized variables such as Technical Knowledge, Human Relations and Communication Skills. This also made use of the profile of the respondents such as Age, Sex, Length of service, Civil Status and Educational attainment. The researchers used the descriptive research method to determine the present condition of the respondents' perception on the skills needed in the selected offices of the Industries in Antipolo City. The questionnaire checklist was the principal instrument used in collecting data. Moreover, different statistical treatments were used. To determine the profile of the respondents, the researchers used the frequency, percentage and rank distribution. To determine the Skills needed in the Selected Offices of Industries in Antipolo City depending on their technical knowledge, human relation and communication skills, Mean was used. To determine if there is a significant difference on the skills needed in the Selected Offices of Industries in Antipolo City in terms of the above mentioned variables and in terms of their profile, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used. Based on the result of the study it reveals that in terms of the profile of the respondents, majority of the respondents are female, married, 30-39 years old, college graduate and most are 2-6 years in the service from different establishment. The provision on the different aspects of human relations has the highest over-all mean followed by communication skills and lastly, technical knowledge In conclusion, most of the respondents either Public or Private considered human relation as an important part of the job. Some of that knowledge can come only through experience, but much of it was taught. And industries are in need of an employee who is flexible and willing to work wholeheartedly and have better work attitude to become effective and efficient office worker. The researchers recommend that the university should focus to strengthen the skill that is needed by the students and provide trainings and seminars to ensure the competency of the students before they graduate. As future employees, they should be open for the changes that they may have while they are in the work place. They should be aware to the new technologies and they should be prepare themselves and be able to be alert for future problems. The company provides team buildings and skills enhancement program to strengthen harmonious relationship among employees.
