Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics University of Rizal System, Rodriguez Rizal 2025 Summary: The flipped classroom approach has gained significant attention in modern educational settings as it allows for more interactive and student-centered learning experiences. By utilizing technology to provide instructional content outside the classroom, teachers can maximize class time for problem-solving and collaborative activities, enhancing student engagement and comprehension. The flipped classroom approach, as described by Bergmann and Sams (2012), involves delivering lessons through videos or online materials outside the classroom, giving more time for interactive activities during class. This study tested its effectiveness in teaching operations on radical expressions to selected Grade 9 students at San Jose National High School during the Academic Year 2024-2025. Using a mixed methods design, pretests and posttests were given before and after the strategy was used, followed by student interviews. Results showed a significant improvement in posttest scores, and students shared that the method helped them understand the topic better. Therefore, it is recommended that educators and curriculum planners consider integrating flipped learning in teaching mathematics to improve student outcomes and engagement.
